Describing him as the Superman of our generation, the Black Adam star referred to the Elona Holmes star as a buddy and a phenomenal Superman. Although Henry Cavill was absent, the Man of Steel received praise from imminently debuting DC star Dwayne Johnson who gushed about his counterpart. The 39-year-old was expected to make an appearance at the event during the Warner Bros Hall H panel for the upcoming DC Extended Universe lineup.īut when the day finally arrived, he was nowhere to be seen. And there have been conflicting reports regarding the British actor’s DCEU status since San Diego Comic-Con. While the concept of a Henry Cavill-led Man of Steel 2 is very exciting, these whispers shouldn’t be taken too seriously since nothing has been officially confirmed.
Throw in Ben Affleck’s established cameo in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and it’s not hard to believe the speculation.
